Sometimes when I see a link to an off -site address that might be a bit dodgy or that I am just a bit unclear about, I will Dr.Web it first. One more layer of security....

I'm not using it, but there is also the Finjan SecureBrowsing Add-on extension which scans certain domain pages it loads for malicious content. Comes in both IE and Firefox flavors.

@Steve - FireCAT is awesome. I've posted briefly about it some time ago here: FireCAT - Firefox Extensions For Web Security.

I'm using a large number of those extensions (but not all) on my work machines Firefox builds.

I really think Security Database has done a fantastic job of lining up the most useful Firefox "security" tools and presenting them in a cleverly-organized format.

There are just so many extensions now for Firefox, it can be challenging picking the wheat from the chaff. So projects like this are greatly appreciated.

I highly recommend FireCAT, and if someone doesn't feel they need ALL of the ones listed, they can still probably benefit from looking through the list and may find a few new ones of use. I sure did!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13777170.post-79917389244648775892007-08-30T22:06:00.000-05:002007-08-30T22:06:00.000-05:00Have you had a look at FireCAT yet?Cheers,SteveHave you had a look at FireCAT yet?

Cheers,
SteveAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13777170.post-66800598609347243022007-08-30T12:45:00.000-05:002007-08-30T12:45:00.000-05:00Will have to check outDr.Web anti-virus link check...Will have to check out
Dr.Web anti-virus link checkerAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
